New Car discount - Affinity schemes

I recently purchased a new fiesta at full price about three months ago which I was really happy with, until last month a colleague gained a 17% discount off a brand new Kia due to an affinity scheme.

Sadly, he only found out this discount because he knew the sales manager.

I work for a small division of an insurance giant but our HR department knows nothing about the affinity scheme. I have tried to use the internet but with little success. I have contacted the Ford dealership but theyapparently know nothing about the scheme.

Can anyone tell me more about affinity schemes as apparently it is not only the insurance industry that benefits from the discount. Also can I apply retrospectively ?
Mortgage value was £135,000 now £43,218
TCB total £1200

You paid list price for a fiesta??? Why?

There are schemes designed to give manufactureres employees / familys of employees cheaper cars - i suspect thats what your friend got, however its really not tricky to get a discount on a new car.

https://www.broadspeed.com are offering 16% off a new fiesta and all they do is put you in touch with the UK dealer who'll give you that discount, so theres no risk.

Really surprised that anyone pays list price these days...
  • Did you haggle or use drive the deal and other similar websites. Or just goto a dealer and pay the screen price if he throws in a xmas tree air freshner?

Some good deals but you need to choose the right model.

    £14,700 fiesta for £11,495..
