Hi i am wallpapering a chimney breast as a feature wall with two external corners but where do i start?
In the internal corner and work out and round the first external corner or in the middle off the wall and work to each corner in turn.
The orange bit only is getting papered
Thanks

In the middle of the chimney brest then working left and right.
Depending on the width you chose to have joint in the middle or the centre of a sheet in the middle.0 -
So the centre/ middle of the first sheet matches the centre middle of the breast?Spending my time reading how to fix PC's,instead of looking at Facebook.0

So the middle of the chimney breast has a single, perfect run of wallpaper, you assume that you are putting up odd numbers of lengths.
1 is the middle, 2 and 3 are left and right, 4 and 5 are also left and right if the chimney breast is wider.
So, yes, the middle of the first drop is the middle of the chimney breast. Get that one perfect and the rest will be far, far easier.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -

Really depends on the width of the wall and the design, I've done both in the living room, prefer it with a centre join but only because the width means I end up with narrow strips at the edges. If I had a prominent pattern I'd hang a piece at the centre.
It really is just personal preference.0 -
Thank you all i now understand how to do it and the two options so i will measure up and see which suits the best.
Thank you again.
Just measured up and the first sheet wiil be in the centre of the wall this ensure's the internal corners are easy and each side will be trimed.
To think i was going to start in the corner and work out i am glad i asked.
Thanks again everyoneSpending my time reading how to fix PC's,instead of looking at Facebook.0 -
