In regards to car insurance. Overnight my car will be parked in a secure gated communal car parking spot.
Which of the following, would you say, is the best description for this?
Driveway, Street, Residential Parking Area, Car Park

Since you called it "parking spot" I would say it's a residential parking area.I'm not cynical I'm realistic

Some insurers have a specific secure private parking option. Whether its any cheaper or not who knows.
But if the gates are often left open its probably not choosing secure.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
I suppose I definitely can't choose driveway then
It's just online, sometimes they don't have many options, so you don't want to say driveway or road, cause it's sort of inbetween.

secure gated communal car parking spot = Residential Parking Area. While gated might make it a bit more secure from a theft point of view. Depends on how the gates operate. But your car is still in danger of being clouted in its parking space by other users.
But if in doubt. Give the company a call and see what they say.Never ASSUME anything its makes a>>> A55 of U & ME <<<0 -

All the thefts of decent cars I hear about from friends, family and acquaintances are from driveways.
If you have residents parking area or car park it's more likely that your car will be damaged rather than completely stolen.I'm not cynical I'm realistic

No way is it classed as a driveway. If anything happens your claim maybe thrown out.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

I heard how friend's friend, had their car stolen when the car keys where taken from work. And the car was parked literally in front of the workplace door!Save in 2013: #166: 9,122.51/[STRIKE]5,000[/STRIKE] 10,000Interest earned in 2014: £257.61 20/04/140 -

Surely many people don't claim when their cars been hit in a parking spot. Surely the excess is more than the repair??!Save in 2013: #166: 9,122.51/[STRIKE]5,000[/STRIKE] 10,000Interest earned in 2014: £257.61 20/04/140 -
