Credit card with extended warranty?

Hi there

I am wondering if anyone knows of a credit card where you can get extended one year warranty on home appliences. Apparently Barclaycard no longer do this.

I currently pay £6.50 a month to have a bank acc that provides this but I am looking at ways to save money and wondered if there was a credit card that offered this as a benefit.

I can't think of any but if there is the terms usually state that it has to be bought with the credit card in the first place to get the extended warranty.

So any old appliances would not be covered

Personally I don't bother with any at all.
Note that John Lewis offer additional warranty at no extra cost so it's worth checking their prices, but I believe it's instore and not on line (always check conditions).

I find the best warranty to have is legislation. The CCA and the SOGA provide more than enough, but unfortunately most consumers don't know their legal rights and some retailers can be somewhat 'misleading' with the facts.

The American Express green card has warranty extension.

It is only available to existing Classic and Gold credit card customers and not new customers or Select card holders.
