Tesco Clubcard c/c refusal

Just tried to use my Tesco c/c for £6 at Morrisons today - had a "not authorised" comment come up on the pinpad 3 times until a supervisor pressed the magic button & it went through. The cashier hadn't seen this happen before.
Can't get through to Tescos Helpline (as usual) so wondered if anyone else had had the same happen & its just another Tesco glitch? Can't check online account as no secure network, & there is no way I'm anywhere near my limit.

And I find that looking back at you gives a better view, a better view...

Not enough information here - you don't tell us whether it is a new card, how close you are to limit, or whether you have been late or missed a payment to your account or it could be simply a locked pin.0

not heard of that before. if it is not authorised the retailer should not be able to overide that.until a supervisor pressed the magic button & it went through.0 -
sounds more like their chip and pin systemDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

I've had the card for years, at leeask 1K off my credit limit, never missed a payment & pay off in full automatically - I've logged on since having the card declined in a different place a second time & there are no transactions that have gone through my account that I don't recognise.
When I finally got through to their "helpline" they said they'd been meaning to speak to me about some transactions from a few days ago - wonder when they were going to get around to it :rotfl:. They then said I must have had an unusual spending pattern for thet week - nope, used the card at the same shops I had the week before, & the week before that....
Then it must have been that I'd used the card in a retailer that has "a problem with fruadulant transactions" - I suppose that could be any large supermarket chain.
They did say that the supervisor at Morrisons should have 'phoned for authorisation & not pressed the magic button - & it would have been sorted out then & there. Had that happen a few times now, so getting used to the embarrasment of being stopped at the checkout & taken into a little room with security while my shopping is taken off me . Shame it only happens at the really busy times when shops are rammed with at least 5 people I know
I'm assured it is now working again but I've had a sharp reminder of how important it is not to rely on a c/c, or getting through to a helpline in under an hour....And I find that looking back at you gives a better view, a better view...0
