Has anyone been to the Dr Who Exhibition?

My son is nuts for Dr Who and we are thinking of taking him to the Museum of Science & Industry in Manchester. We live in Hampshire so Manchester is a bit of a trek. Just wondered if anyone has seen the exhibition or has been to the Museum and can let us know how good it is.

Thanks

    Hi

We went a couple of days ago. It's quite a good exhibition with costumes etc from the show. There are a few screens dotted around showing scenes that relate to the exhibit. The exhibits are placed in such a way that they are easy to take photos of. There's a dalek shell that kids can get in. They can operate the arms, and it has a voice changer so they can talk like a dalek.

The Museum of Science and Industry itself is good for a day out, and is free entry to all areas apart from the Dr Who exhibition. We paid £17.50 for 2 adults and 1 child to get into the exhibition.

To get into the Dr Who exhibition, they allocate you to a specific timeslot when you arrive at the museum. We arrived at just after 10.30am, and were given an orange ticket which allowed us to get in 12.30 - 1.00pm ish. You need to book your tickets in advance or get to the museum early, otherwise you won't get into the exhibition.

    Hope this helps.

Would the one in Cardiff be easier to get to?
