  • I am new to this board, however I have been lurking around here for a while and I've recently had my LBM. I feel a real sense of achievement this weekend. I've achieved the following:
    • Filled in PPI form for loan and credit card - ready to post tomorrow
    • Made a spreadsheet to keep track of my debt - I think this is going to motivate me more than anything
    • Made a list of everything in the freezer and ideas for dinner this week
    • Made a shopping list and set a budget
    • Not spent any money today
    • Baked some muffins using ingredients from the cupboard- not tested yet though so don't know how successful they were!
I'm just generally looking forward to a change in lifestyle to help get my debt down until I'm at a point where I'm saving

    Lol xxx

Unfortunately I can't drink wine and don't drink lager so I was bored at last my company wide Christmas do - I've decided that if they have an evening do again this year I've got something else on - the previous year there was an afternoon do - perfect as there was an open bar and I was blotto by 5pm :D. And carried on drinking after that.....I was home by 8pm ! :D

You could possibly be sensible and have 1 drink ? Say that you are on tablets and go for super expensive soft drinks ?

I think I may have to make my excuses at xmas time too as my colleagues will not be pleased if I'm not going! Sounds like you had as good a time as I usually do lol.

That's a very good idea, if I say I don't want to drink they will pour me several large glasses anyway!! Tablets could be the perfect excuse, thank you!
