Like mrs lds the base came off mine too. I'd say it's just about worth what it's priced at on sale.

Keep these away from kids and pets as they shatter badly when broken. I broke one and it was the worst glass breakage I've ever had to clean up, 100s of tiny splinters of glass all over the place, took ages to get it all up.
