Thanks so much OP! Was looking for a cake stand for my baking mad mum for christmas but couldnt find anything I liked that was reasonably priced...

This is so gorgeous and such a bargain!!! I thought it might look a little tacky with the price of it, but it really is beautiful.

In case anyone is interested there was a really pretty photo frame like this one but a bit nicer, down from £24.99 to £12.49:

I was really tempted but my OH would have killed me had I brought another photo frame home!!

Also saw loads of other lovely allready half price bits and peices (another cake stand for cup-cakes, old fashioned style weighing scales, tea pot, pretty vintage style mixing bowls..) - I can't justify buying anything more, but if anyone is looking to make a baking hamper for someone for christmas i'd definitley have a look over this weekend...

Got one of these the last time they were on offer.
They can also be used for a flower arrangement and look really well or for fruit when not in use as a cake stand

Oh no, that's a shame. Maybe it was a bit of a one off as others have said that they were happy with theirs. Just looked at mine and it seems very secure so hopefully will be fine.
