PPI...is it worth checking

i have had, heard and seen like most of us the adverts for ppi.

i have over the years had many credit cards, moved mortgaged lenders and to my knowledge all ways refused PPI.

However, i have been told that it is worth putting a claim in anyway in case i have been unaware of a PPI that has been included.

Has anyone been in the same situation as me? has anyone claimed and not expecting to get any return but did so?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Many thanks

andrew.

Lloyds Banking Group recently stated that 50% of claims from customers using a claims company never had a policy with the bank.

These sh!tty firms achieve two things:

    1. Less money for successful claimants where the customer could have got a full payout for themselves if they hadn't used a third party.

    2. Delays to payouts for genuine claims because the banks are having to waste time checking out claims where the customer is simply trying it on.
