Hi, I Started My Dmp In February 07 With Cccs. Lots Of Tooing And Frooing, But Everybody Has Accepted, Albeit For 6 Months, A Few Are Still Charging Interest And Overlimit Fees, But I Believe This Will Sort Itself Out. Lloyds Have Accepted For 6 Months But The Lady Told Me She Would Hold Interest And It Is Still Being Put On. They State They Never Received Information From Cccs Albeit That They Have Sent It All To Them Twice!!! Have Informed Cccs About Situation But Just Wanted To Know If Anybody Had Had Similar Dealings. Any Info Greatly Appreciated.

To date I have written 17 letters to Lloyds-TSB - the last 8 sent recorded delivery and do they respond? No!! I've even sent them cheques in line with the offer I made them and have they received them? Yes!! Have they cahed them? No!!!
I owe on a credit card and a loan. Strangely the credit card side of the business has accepted my reduced payments, froze interest etc but the loan side just ignore evrything. I've made an official complaint through their complaints procedure - this has been acknowledged but not fully responded to - so I've forwarded all details, correspondence to the OFT & FS Ombudsman.
I'm in the process of writing again to them advising that I will stop sending payments and will place them in a holding account and inviting them to take me to Court so that I can expose, okay only to a District Judge, their "shabby" business habits.
Rant over!! Have a good Easter!0 -

I recently entered in to a Trust Deed, I banked with Lloyds, owed £50K in bank loans and £20k in credit cards to them (plus more totalling £100k plus). Lloyds were little slow but have not contested my trust deed at all, and have allowed me to remain banking with them. I will be in the trust deed fr 3 yrs and then I can start to rebuild my life (rather than 15 yrs on a DMP). I would recommend you looking in to an IVA (trust deed in scotland), up to 90% of your debts could be written off, allowing you to move forward.
This is the best thing I've ever done, I no longer dread the postman coming or the phone ringing. Good luck to you XXXXMel :heartpuls0 -
Lloyds are big bad boys. They've been a pain in the behind with us too. In a DMP with the CCCS, all the payments set up, they said that the interest etc would stop, but continued to add full interest and charges for a further 3 months after our DMP began.
They did stop in the end though, they just seemed determined to get their final pound of flesh. Nasty to deal with, but it all finally worked out ok. It will get better, just keep on writing and bugging them etc. They'll keep calling and sending snotty letters, but they'll realise soon that they have to settle for your plan. Good luck and chin up.0 -
Have you tried ringing the Collections Dept in Brighton? I got the name of a woman who was very helpful and I made sure I always spoke to her. I was also charged like you and the Collections Dept was able to refund them the same day.
Good luckMel :heartpuls0 -
thanks to all of you who have responded, early days, fingers crossed it will all settle.0

I had to respond to this one as well. Lloyds are reknown by the CCCS for being awful in helping ppl trying to sort out their debts. We have been on a DMP for two years and guess who the ONLY ppl are that still havent fromzen interest etc yep! Lloyds! and their best one yet was to enter a CCJ against my partner who has a loan which started at £16K, and in the originalpapers to the court they stated that we had made NO payments against the debt! We had been paying for nearly two tears! Every month for 2 years! Unfortunately the judge decideed not to read the paperwork we sent in so are in the process of challanging it with the help of the CCCS etc.
They dont care what they do, and as far as I am concerned they have now actually acted illegally although Im no financial expert, they have no interest in helping ppl repay the money and our total debt has actually increased by £4K all care of Lloyds! If we dont get a half decent response from our challange we will be going through the complaints procedure and then onto the ombudsman type ppl.
I hate them! Im not taking any responsibility that it was us that got into the debt in the first place but there are guidelines about how they are supposed to respond when ppl are asking for help with debt, and they have done nothing! I can say ' us too' to all of the things mentioned in previous posts on this thread, they have managed to reduce my OH to tears and made him so ill on so many occassions, I would LOVE to have an hour in the office with one of their big wigs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:EasterBun ...what more do I need to say?!

I have to say that as much as I hate Lloyds TSB they also helped me & made such a difference to my debt free date.
I ended up with a loan, overdraft & credit card owing to Lloyds - and was really struggling, so they suggested a repayment plan (combining all of the debts), and because I had stuck to it for 12 months (no missed payments or no late payments), they offered to "re-finance" my loan, which sounds like a no no, but basically they combined the 3 debts, and gave me options of "re-financing", a) with payment protection, b) without payment protection, and c) at a lower monthly repayment than I had been paying - the best bit was that it was with an APR of 2.3% - so around 25 pounds a month in interest!!!
For this I will be grateful as 2.3% is a hell of a lot better than what I was paying - my credit card rate was probably around 18%, not to mention the loan APR & overdraft APR too!!
It meant I could really see my loan coming down rather than most of the repayment being interest.
Right now I hate them though as they have stuck a 35 pound charge on my account for a bounced standing order, which annoyingly was only going to myself (to my nationwide account) anyway. Tried and tried to get it back but I hate them!!
35 pounds is a lot of dollars!!!
Anyway, thats my experience with Lloyds!! xx0 -
...its their inconsistency
We also have never missed one single payment but they appear to have gone out of their way to make everything as difficult as possible for us to change the situation for the better and find a way of repaying them what we owe.
I have asked for the best practices when dealing with customer debt but dont seem to find anyone from their staff who knows where to lay their hands on a policy, charter, guide,,, anything, the only thing they have got is a leaflet that they send out saying if you are in financial problems then let us know and contact someone like CCCS or Payplan .. what they dont have on the leaflet is that after that they will do what ever they damn well please including acting illegally, abusivley etc ....
i hate them with a passion, i cant even begin to describe my feelings! and if the chairman ever reads this forum,,,, give me an hour with you ( I will even bring the tea and digestives), let me tell you how your company's tactics have almost destroyed my family!
the challange is layed down! not that it will make any difference at all!
now i have to go eat chocolate!:EasterBun ...what more do I need to say?!
