The wife has just had her medical with ATOS. How long before you hear the results from the DWP?

Typically 2-6 weeks.
However.
Phone up in a couple of days, and request a copy of the medical,
With luck, you can respond to any inaccuracies before a decision is arrived at,0 -
As rogerblack says 2-6 weeks and again as above get a copy of the ATOS 'medical professionals' medical report.
During my husbands medical the healthcare professional was a paediatric nurse, what she knew about spinal trauma is anybodies guess lol.
She maniplulated a lot of answers on her report,ie he cant walk more than 50 metre's and she changed it to 200,said he has no problem using a wheelchair when he cant even push the wheels due to having impinged shoulders caused by using crutches for the past 10 years.
We requested a copy of the report straight away and appealed before we had a desicion, low and behold he was found fit for work.
To her credit the report did say it is unlikely he would return to work in the longer term but he is still epected to go get a job, bless em.
Be prepared and good luck.0 -

I've never heard of the report giving that prognosis and yet suggesting he be found fit for work.. I onder if they made an error in selecting that.. it is a drop down menu I believe in the software.
Anyway.. have you formally appealed now since getting the decision? I hope so... good luck!"Do not attribute to conspiracy what can adequately be explained by incompetence" - rogerblack0 -

As above... I wouldn;t mess around twiddling thumbs for 2 or 3 months as some claimants have made the mistake of doing in recent threads. Get hold of a copy of the ESA85 ATOS medical report from the DWP as soon as. Call them early next week and return here if you need clarity on its content meaning."Do not attribute to conspiracy what can adequately be explained by incompetence" - rogerblack0 -
