Local lettings Scotland

Anyone got in depth knowledge on how local lettings works on new build houses in Scotland. I am aware it takes into account those who need to be in that area but, how do they then whittle that down to choose one person. Is it just automaticlaly the person with the most points.

Thanks

If you're talking about renting from local councils, as I suspect you are, surely the quickest way to answer this would be to phone someone at the housing dept in the council concerned, or see if the information is available on their website?

I feel the answer may vary from council to council.

If you're talking about renting from a Housing Association, again - speak to someone there or look up their website.
  • The housing association advise for us to look at their website but doesn;t give any great detail. Just wondered if anyone knew if it was pruely done on who then had the most points.
