Seeboard Energry and Warmwise Tariffs

Hello
Anyone out there that knows anything about Seeboard Energy and Warmwise Tariffs? I moved in to my property last April and was only here for 2 weeks when I received an electricity bill for £269.66! I contacted them and asked for an amended bill after paying an £80 credit upon occupancy, and they sent me a revised bill. Ever since I have had a continuous battle with them and my the bills I have received. I give them plenty of updated readings (all 4 of them!). The final straw came when after paying a regular direct debit of £30 a month for 7 months they notified me they would be increasing my direct debit to £65.00 per month. I cancelled the direct debit.

Everything in my home is electric and I have storage heaters which are set at the most economical levels. My water is on a different setting which is set to heat after 10 p.m and then at 01:00 a.m. I have tried to reduce my output without freezing, but the bills keep coming! I am at a loss as to what to do. I've contacted the Energy Efficiency board and they worked out my yearly useage and said they would cost me £100 more per year on Economy 7 meter.

Since my occupancy of the flat and my first bill I do not trust Seeboard Energy at all. I have gone to USwitch.com to try and get an idea of who would be the best most cost effective provider but I can't find anyone that deals with the Warmwise Tariff. Help I'm drowning in electricity charges!! (excuse the pun) and I desparately want to try and find a more efficient provider and reduce my costs. My electricity bill for me on my own last year was £452.00, I am expecting to much or would this be about the going rate? I've always been used to using gas and electric but this is crippling me.

Does anyone anywhere have any idea who would be better or even know what Warmwise is all about apart from having four readings to contend with?!

Any help, suggestions, anything would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks
Confused, yet hopeful - Jan

First, have you read Martin's Article?

Next, what about going to the Citizens Advice Bureau with your bills as they can negotiate on your behalf and often get more sense out of suppliers than you can do yourself.

I think your bills sound expensive. Have you resolved all your bill matters?

i believe that warmwise is just another name for the old economy 10 tariff. ie 10 hours of cheap electric via a boost system. it usually works out cheaper than economy 7 or standard elec.
    Beware the green?
  • Hi thanks for taking the time to reply, it's much appreciated. I read Martins article and I will try the CAB. Funnily enough I've just received another bill today for £137.00. I getting so fed up with this I just want to see what tariff it is so I can get a proper quote. Thanks again will keep trying.
