Software to quickly focus on a payne in windows?

Can anyone recommend me some software that will enable me to fast focus in on a payne within a window (in windows XP) without magnifying the content? ie so I can temporarily remove all the toolbars etc that surround most applications and get (not bigger text) but more of the text on the screen so reducing having to scroll so much? Say with a single click or hot key press.
PS I know how to hide individual toolbars etc one at a time.
The reason: (no need to read this if not interested)
I have a small netbook running windows XP the screen of which is about the same size as an Ipad. When I open free yahoo mail I find that because the screen is small the whole of the top half of the screen is occupied by navigation toolbars some relating to firefox and some to yahoo. I use these but don't want them there when reading my mail. Also the left hand side has about a 5th used for yahoo navigation toolbars and the right hand is another 5th advertisements (as is this site also) (which I am willing to bear with for the sake of not paying yahoo).
Because the screen is so small this makes the payne that holds the actual emails to be 3 tenths the size of the whole screen and I am forever scrolling the shortened 3 or so lines of text I can see side to side and up and down.
I am aware of magnification software but this magnifies the text as well so you don't get any more words on the screen only bigger ones.
When I see my friends using their Ipads they don't seem to have this problem? I am tempted to buy an Ipad but don't think it is worth £500 just to overcome this one problem and never having used one I don't know if it would overcome it or not.
You can see an example of my problem, if you can see the same as me, by hitting reply then scroll the extreme right scroll bar up till you can only see three lines of text in the reply box then try typing without using the extreme right scroll bar again. Yahoo and others do not provide this scroll bar.
Also can someone who is using an Ipad tell me can you get rid of all the surrounding stuff without scrolling?
Sorry to be so long winded but I find it hard to describe what I'm looking for.
Thanks

hit F11, to toggle kiosk mode on/off
or disable toolbars, what toolbars do you have/need?
or get a bigger screen, ie proper laptop
to remove yahoo and mse sidebars and banners, you need something like adblock element hider add-on, once setup you can remove all the header/footer/twitter/facebook/cookies/border nonsense, and fill the screen with forum posts, and nothing else.
You can stretch some of the mse screen in your account settings - see stretchy forum skin and disable signatures/avatars etc, but the site authors don't see the cluttered forum layout as a problem, so it's unlikely to change for the better.
I've just noticed that there is now so much crap surrounding the mse forum layout, I can't actually read anything of your post on a full sized laptop without scrolling, the EU cookie banner has finally tipped it over the edge.!!

Brilliant that has solved most of it without me having to learn anything. F11 - so easy. Then adblock removed the adds without me setting anything up. Now seeing your list I just need to see if there is anything else I can do in adblock to hide a few more bits in yahoo mail but I am already 90% there.
