It must depend on what store you go to then, cos my boyfriend and I both registered our £2 and bought a drink costing £2.50 each, just gave the guy (it was the manager who served us aswell!) our card and 50p, got our drinks no problem. Is there anything in any t + c's stating that it can't be used as part payment?

You need to register the card online as far as i know you could try it in store just ask them if there is any money on it?

You just have to register online, you shouldn't need to top-up first, they will just make it sound like you need to. Go straight to the registration step
