M&S were giving 5 year guarantees on their large TVs (that appeared in the grabbit forum).
Now that they are stopping technology items, does anyone know what is to be done if a TV set goes faulty?

Yes, if you have a confirmed order number and delivery date your item should be delivered.
I bought a technology item recently and can no longer find items on the website, is my guarantee still valid?
While technology items are no longer available at M&S, your guarantee will still be valid as detailed below:
All of our technology products sold and delivered in the UK are guaranteed for 2 years, except large televisions (26" screen and over), which are guaranteed for 5 years.
Please keep your receipt or parcel summary document which is proof of purchase and validates the start date of your guarantee.
If you need to use your guarantee because of a fault, please call our Technology Customer Service Centre on 0845 671 0665. If the product cost under £150, please return it with your original packaging to any Marks & Spencer store (except Outlet and Simply Food Stores). You can also return the item by Royal Mail using the free returns label provided. If it is within 35 days of purchase we will offer a refund or exchange for a new product. (Exchanges can only be done in stores). After 35 days and for the remainder of your guarantee period, we will arrange for the product to be repaired. If a repair is not possible, we will exchange the product for a new one or the nearest equivalent. If we are unable to exchange we will offer a full refund.
This guarantee is only valid within the United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland and Channel Islands.
This guarantee excludes faults caused by accident, neglect, misuse, not following the instructions and normal wear and tear.
