NSD here today (mainly because I didn't go outside - too snowy!)
First day in my new job tomorrow, so going to head to bed soon to be up and at em nice and early. It's a bit silly because I'm only moving one floor in the building!
Got nice card from my colleagues and some vouchers, which I wasn't expecting at all as I'm not even leaving the organisation! Ah well. They'll definitely get used. I have my eye on a new pair of Converse and some books :-)
Doing a fast day tomorrow - should be easy as my appetite disappears when I'm stressed or busy, and new jobs are always a bit nerve-wracking!
Still counting down the days until I can pay off the last of the cards...0 -
Urgh, I lost my post as I almost finished it, here it is again.
Started my new job on Monday. It is a bit  in that it is quite high stress and high pressure and more responsibility...I have a lot to learn. I had got quite comfortable in the office so it feels odd to be out of my comfort zone in a different department. Have to remind myself that it's normal to feel like that with a new job!
Think I need to buy a new suit, as there are so many external meetings I don't think I can get buy on the two I have already. I hate suits, they're mostly ugly and I always feel like a kid dressed up in adult clothing. Hopefully it can wait til next month.
Not much to report on the MSE front...not spending much, as I'm busy. At the weekend I did pull out a load of stuff for eBay, so the next step is to list it all.
Right, off for a few hours of telly and maybe a sneaky glass of restorative wine before bed...0 -
 hate it when that happens! And notice it never happens on a short post?! It's always the ones you spend ages typing out

Try Next for suits! They're usually a nice cut
How was your vino?

Wow, long time no post!! I've been so busy and caught up in my new job that I haven't posted at all since starting it. It's pretty full on but I think it will be good once I've properly settled in.
Anyway...the big news...I am now DEBT FREE!! It took me 4 1/2 months to clear just over £2k of debt, which is not bad considering it was on my old salary. I hope my new savings targets will be attainable as they are based on saving the excess from my new salary.
I've decided to start the 10k challenge from 31 March (to run with financial year) and am currently saving the excess as a small emergency fund. Still tracking everything I spend, so I plan to set myself some challenges in March. I need to waste less money on random bus fares, alcohol and eating out, basically.
(HeadAboveWater - on the suit, I had a bit of good luck in Zara and managed to find the jacket which matched trousers I already had from there on sale for £30 - score!)0 -
