I was looking at this online this morning and wondered just how much better it is than the Medion 205 ("the Tesco lets lure customers into our store and not have enough stock one")
Does anyone know how much better this one is?pinkpinkfizz

The only difference I can see is that its available and the tesco's one isn't :mad:0 -
I wouldn't bother anyway, I got the one from Tesco (had loads in the Tesco extra in Southend) but can't really see the screen and can't hear the volume....Also you can navigate to a postcode but not also to a house number...Renders it pretty useless in my book, even though it is still a very good price...0

You can download speed camera locations on this one for £10 a year or something of that sort. I still got one from tesco - there is a lot available just ask a really nice sales rep, there are loads in the stock room0 -
The 205 only came out recently and the 210 came out last year. The 210 was introduced with an RRP of £99 and the 205 at £119 (or the Euro equivalent).
The 205 has the power button as well as up/down arrow buttons (you can use these to scroll up/down the map) on the front:
I have found French reviews on the 205 and there is a link to it on the French Medion website - however, the info states that the offer is no longer available on that site. I wonder if these are now exclusive to Tesco, hence the numbering? I can see this model listed on the Medionshop (UK) website, when looking for mapping upgrades - but their varous links don't appear to be working in that section at the moment.
As long as mine gets me from A to B that is fine! It was a real bargain - and beats leafing through a road atlas in a layby!!!0 -
From what I have read the 205 is the newer model:
http://www.01net.com/fiche-produit/avis-redac-1783/gps-autonomes-medion-gopal-205/
"Medion GoPal 205 is indeed the successor of the PNA 210. It takes again the principal characteristic of it, namely its very compact format: 8,2 X 9,1 X 5 cm for a weight of 180 G."
The 205 uses Centrality Atlas II.
I surrender any further debate to the techies!!!
Here is some more stuff that I don't understand but I don't doubt someone else can translate it for me!
“Medion GoPal 205”
Manufacturer Medion
Type of screen Touch screen TFT
Cut screen 2,8"

The SirfIII is definitely far superior!!!! Much quicker to lock on to the satellites, and you'll notice the difference when driving through leavy areas when they are back on the trees!0
