Any benefit in getting a store card?

Hi, first time poster.

I spend a lot at Next, and was wondering if there would be any benefit to me at all if I got a Next card.

I don't need the credit, and would have no problem paying off, so it isn't a case of buying what I can't afford. Just wondered if stores do any small discounts or vouchers for those who hold their cards.

Any store card holders care to advise?

You wont get a Next 'card' off the bat, the most you will have is a credit account to use for online purchases then after six months or so, they may decide you are worthy for one of their store cards for which you can then get stuff from the shop as opposed to just online.

You may be eligible for a Directory Card once you have been shopping with us for 6 months, which will allow you to shop in any Next store and exchange or return purchases which will show on your Directory Account Statement.

The good thing once you've got the card is, you can buy things in next using the card, to make use of the interest free period but you can then pay the next account with a credit card as a purchase, giving you another interest free period.
