Have been given a date for my DLA appeal at the Tribunal service , only took 7 months !
Question is should i let my DIAL advisor lead at the hearing ?
On the appeal hearing letter it says they would like me to make contributions to the appeal when questioned but i find the whole thing a bit difficult to understand which is why the advisor, who is an appeal specialist , is going with me !
Any thoughts welcome !
Regards

They will want you to answer questions about your condition.
The DIAL worker will not be able to speak for you.
However, they can raise matters about the assessment, and legal reasons you may be entitled to benefit that you don't understand.
Presumably the adviser has done this before, and wil advise you closer to the time.0 -
I went to my tribunal, with my wife, and asked if she could speak, as and when, I wanted if I became confused. The Chairman was extremely pleasant and helpful and explained why he wanted me to answer no matter how difficult. As it gave a much better impression of my ability, or should I say inability, even with communication.
So I felt happy'ish and went for it but did slur, fumble my words and keep forgetting lots of things. I can go totally blank even mid sentence buy perhaps I was lucky as the panel were really supportive.
So yes they want to hear straight from the horses mouth about the care and mobility needs you have arising from your illnesses and/or disabilities.
Good luck0
