Natwest debit card vs natwest private debit card

My girlfriend is not sure if she is a private customer or not. When she receives statements it says natwest private eon the top. She always get to speak to someone straight away when she calls.

Does she have a private account or not? What would her debit card say? It just looks standard purple card.

Thanks.

If they have upgraded im not sure of the circumstances. Could this be confirmed OP to satisfy our curiosity.

However if they was to order a replacement card they should get a private one.

To be honest ive never understood mse`s infatuation with debit cards.

  • When she started College of Law she opened up a student account with Natwest and got a personal relationship manager. Her statements always say Natwest Private at the top.

It's normally people who have sod all their accounts that are the ones that worry what their debit cards look like as it gives them that kind of kick or they've spent the last 6 years getting their vanquis card out at the cashiers.

I don't care or don't look at other people's credit or debit cards as strangely enough I am not into that kind of fetish.
  • No one looks at your card anyway these days with chip and pin.

So has the account been upgraded from a student account then?

If she studied law she would have automatically been eligible for private banking. If she wants a private branded debit card she just need to ask for one.

I guess restaurants being the only exception but I do agree, always used to make me laugh when I was in the USA and using my nectar amex credit card. People would always say that they've never seen a purple card before.
