Buying laptop from Dell - student offer

Sourced a Dell laptop I want but happens to come with an XBOX 360 (which I am not bothered about) as part of a student deal.....found the deal on wizmark computers with discount code and only realised it was a student offer once adding to basket. It's the price and laptop spec I want not the xbox (that's def an aside).

Says 'proof of student id maybe requested prior to delivery'

Anyone any experience of this....have they been asked?

While not a student I am in education.

All you can do is try.

If you get asked then it's fair game, you won't get the deal but you'll get your money back.

If they don't ask then you're all clear

I always take advantage of student deals,l've only been asked once for proof of student id,l just give them the name of my step son's secondary school,the order went ok.
