Tesco Credit Card Questions Please?

Hello.
Can anyone out there who already has one of these cards, please advise, re the Tesco 22 month interest free balance transfer credit card?
The online application states " 2.9% fee on opening card "
Is this 2.9% of whatever balance is transferred or is this just to open the card? If the latter, 2.9% of what?
OR, Can I take it that if there is no balance transfer, the 2.9% fee is accademic?
I understand that there is no monthly charge for the card but there is no mention of any " Dormancy Charge " if the card is not used for a while. Can anyone please confirm if there is or is not such a provision on the card?
I have tried to ring Tesco on their 0845 number but object to paying up to 60p per minute to listen to lengthy pre-recorded messages and musak.
Many thanks, Pete.

I'd expect it to be on the balance transfer. Most money lenders charge 3% to balance transfer to their cards anyway so it's not a big deal.0

The 2.9 % is based on what you transfer in from another account. For example, you transfer £1000 from another account and get charged £29.
There is no dormancy fee in the t and cs as far as I can see.0 -
Hello and very many thanks to you both for the replies.
Your input is greatly appreciated.
