Salon Couture Bristol SCAM!

Today I was ripped off by this salon and the manager was SO rude and unreasonable that I feel it necessary to post on here to warn others about it. I bought 9 sessions of ultrasound liposuction treatment at an offer price. It took a while to get the first apoointment after they took my money but eventually I got the first 7 treatments. The last 2 were cancelled by the salon at very short notice and the salon would not return my calls in order for me to make new appointments. She finally called me back today and then said that as I had gone past the 2 month point since my first appointment so I was no longer entitled to the treatments I have paid for. This was down to her cancelling my appointments!! She kept quoting the contract that stated the 2 month limit, which I was never told about or shown and she refused to give me a copy. I said I would come to the salon in person to collect it (this was after her shouting abuse at me down the phone and hanging up on me 4 times!) and she said she would have me arrested for trespassing and I was now barred from the salon. She even started being abusive about my children and the fact I am a single parent, she told me that as I had time to have 2 children I should have time to report her to trading standards and she didn't care what I did as she would not honour the appointments or provide me with a refund. She said this was due to me "kicking off", I am stunned by this attitude and behaviour and want to take this further. It is no longer about the loss of money but more her conduct and attitude. This is an appalling way to run a business and I think it is a scam. She keeps selling on groupon etc. and I imagine she doesn't fulfill these offers either. I said she had breached the sales of goods (and services) act but she denied this as she said it was medical intervention so she wasn't accountable. Surely there is something I can do? Small claims court maybe. All advice and thoughts welcome.

It sounds like very unreasonable and unprofessional behaviour, but the other party isn't here to defend themselves.
I know a lot of local BBc radio stations have a consumer programme, a bit like Watchdog but on the radio. Might be worth a try in your area. Would be worth getting in touch with Trading Standards.
From what I have heard on our consumer show, make sure you keep any emails, phone records, receipts etc. The more proof that you have from your end, the better.
I hope you get some resolution in the end.

(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...

  • I am experiencing similar issues. I booked the offer via KGB. Made an appointment which they cancelled at short notice. I have left 2 voicemails to rebook appointment and they are not returning my calls. I have tried calling today and it now says the number is not recognisable. I am going to pay them a visit today. Any advice? I will let you know how I get on!
  • I have had the same problem. I had first 4 sessions which I bought through groupon and that was fine. I then booked another 12 sessions for £130. When I turned up for the second session out of the 12, I saw bailiffs when I entered the building. They had been instructed to cut off the electricity supply as bills had not been paid. The bailiffs were delayed in doing this as they had to wait for Nicola, the Manager to come down to the salon. I was able to have my session done but ever since then have not been able to contact the salon at all as their telephone number seems to have been cut off. Highly unprofessional and they owe me money!
  • She is a nasty piece of work!I was working at Salon Couture when it first opened in 2011 as a nail tech. She had around 7/8 beauticians/hairdresser in doing various beauty treatments none of us lasted as we all found out her true colours and her past and got feed up with her lies and poor management. She had us all there paying rent (mine 450) for a table in the corner) and more so she could swan it around with our over priced money! I came to the salon with no clients, she done nothing pior to advertise the opening and get people in, I was out trying to do this but only when it opened and was loosing money.
Was informed by a previous colleague of her past and got out straight away. When confronted about the information she stated her mum was dieing and she didn't have the time to defend herself...another lie as told me her mum past years ago plus surely her mum would have wanted her to clear her name!
She's a nasty price of work who should not be in the beauty industry as that is clear from the Info we found on google. We could not do anything to shut the salon down and I do hope she gets caught, she's a lier and a fake, karma will catch up with her and I'd love to be there when it does.
If u search Nichola Morgan Fake in google u will find the hearing and action against her in 2010.
