Bt Credit Check?? Help

When did BT start doing credit checks? I have a really low score so I will not pass, does that mean I can not now get a landline? Bear in mind I live in Northern Ireland so cable is not an option.

    If you don't pass the credit check, they will usually let you pay a deposit.

    Well they didn't credit check for some reason. Getting switched on next week

    have you had a phone line in the last 12 months then if so that is why

    They were doing them when I requested my line last year. It shows up on my Equifax report :cool:
