Cheap train ticket wanted

Hi

Am attending a graduation on 12th May, and need a train from Nottingham/Derby to get me to London by 12.30pm and returning same day leaving London about 6ish. I have tried all different combinations but can only get the fare down to £38 is that cheap? or can someone find it cheaper?

Two singles come to £28 (from Nottingham)- when you get the return fares up, click the button that says 2 singles could be cheaper.

£38 is not that bad a fare.

Or £24 from Derby, try Midland Mainline site as they seem to have £1 off web fare special on certain journeys
