2015 £2 saver #188 = £450 -
chris, I think bumping will be better than pressing the spam button, which will make a lot more work for the mse team and will also clog the site. I am sure they are working on that foul mouthed saddo0

Thanks for all the ideas re the curtains.:T I will look online later today.
I moved a low sideboard in front of the garden door to block some of the draft and it seems to be working quite well and doesn't look as bad as I would have expected it to.
One thing I don't like about this time of year is the fireworks, we had a few last night and my dogs went crackers.
There is a store (also online) called Fabricland - I think their prices for all sorts of fabric are really good and they often have stuff that's a bit difficult to get.
Their website is not the easiest to use but worth a look for things like fleece by the yard - whoops, metre:)0 -
They must have flu jab quotas to meet kezlou. I had a phonecall last week from a lovely sounding man at the docs, saying that I could have a flu jab as I am old enough. I was very polite when I refused him. I refuse everything from the docs btw, all except that horrible `do at home` bowel cancer test. I couldn`t see anyone from the downton era doing that and I don`t know why I do it, except I like the letter that says all clear. I haven`t used prescription meds for a very very long time as I am still a self-healing organism but I do have a big variety of herbs and homeopathic remedies just in case (I am qualified) . That and raw honey, vitamins and elderberry syrup and I am still rosy cheeked, quietly energetic and look healthy and can cycle uphill to the allotment without a struggle, even though I am a comfy cuddly build
PC forecast has been very very acurate this month again and good that meto are now saying warm for a while more. Good for energy bills, just about the whole of this month, at least here in the sw0 -
Kittie I'm just discovering that we don't need an over the counter med for every little ailment and striving to get through this winter on hot honey drinks and multivits. Can I ask what honey you use and could recommend for those of us who are trying to get rid of the cough syrups.
I'm also interested in natural anti inflammatory foodstuffs, if there is such a thing?0 -
fuddle, good on you, you remind me of me when I was younger

I get raw honey from amazon or from a local beekeeper. It is unpasturised so the goodies in it are still there and not destroyed by heating. Around £5.50 a jar but I only use about a tsp a day on hm toast, made from rye plus high fibre wholemeal cut thin, very yummy. Then later in the morning I eat berries with a little yogurt. Cheapest are frozen or free blackberries
My multi vit requirement will be very different to yours, We use lamberts healthcare for the over 50s. I have practitioner discount. I used to use natures best, which is their company too. You can get really good stuff from iherb.com and I have never paid tax, postage is always $4, I get my D3 from them but am always careful never to go over about £18 in total. I have used iherb for about 5 years and they are a great company0 -
