Raining? we are baking here in the south east very hot day. it is 27.6C in my house.

I would much rather be hot than the cold we have to go through in winter.

Good time to buy snowsuits for little ones on Ebay at the minute. I just won 2 of them (9-12 & 12-18) for £5.00, much cheaper than they will be once the weather turns cold.

My friend gave us her DD unworn snowsuit - but it won't fit this year (might squeeze DS into it? It's navy with bright pink stars but he won't care )

Just flagging up the fact that people are starting to offer logs and wood on Freecycle, we've replied to one offer this morning but won't know if we've been lucky for a day or so I suspect. It is the pruning season folks, so keep your eyes open and you might get some free firewood, as they say, every little helps! Cheers Lyn xxx.

Having fixed the zip (Lyn ) of my daughters coat with a whack of a hammer and a prize open using the pizza wheel I have stitched a pair of gloves onto elastic and thread through the arms. Ensures your little ones always have a pair of gloves and easy access too and we as parents/carers save a small fortune on lost gloves.

Sorting through the hat/scarf/glove box and giving it all a spruce up.

Upping the anti re-winter preps. Sourced wellies for me when DH is paid and I don't think the girls will need new this year so that's good

Because it's the hottest day of the year so far ............. we're phoning the chimney sweep to see if he'll come and sweep ours so the woodburner will be ready for the colder weather, phew it even feels a bit cheeky to me!!!!! Cheers Lyn xxx.
