    Which would mean recession, increased unemployment, decreased standards of living, etc.

    For the average person in the street they are going to get all this, immigrants or no immigrants.

    Who knows open door immigration may even hasten this.

    Hamish, resources do not allow for what you suggest. We need to feel the pain at some stage. The sooner we get on with it the better.

    He's already answered this to be fair.

    While he has 2 houses, others below him can live 2, 3, 4 families to a house. They can share all resources, such as transport etc, while he complains about the lack of green incentives on a 4x4 guzzler.

    How does mass immigration help the average joe in the street?

    I can see how it benefits big business and investors. But the man in the street with a job to put a roof over the head of, and feed his kids?

    How does it bring propser to that person?

    Come on Hamish, we both know that with all pyramid schemes propping up the bottom only defers the problem until a later date.

    Just let it collapse.

    The ones that collapse quickly tend to have to have small bases and very sharp points.
