Rant - suddenly uninterested buyers

I've been messaging back and forth with a potential bidder regarding a camera I currently have running on an auction. They asked me if as SDHC card would work (which it would) and then asked me to check if their card was compatible (it was). All signs would point to them being interested but I've not heard anything since and there have been no bids.
I just don't understand how a pleasing answer can generate no interest.

Any watchers? They might just be waiting to the last minute to bid.0

Perhaps they have set a snipe to bid at the last minute, or perhaps they've won or spotted another they are going after.0

Simple change of mind?0

As said, could have changed their mind or be waiting to bid at the end.
A few months ago I messaged someone twice about an engine they were selling, but although their responses were positive, I decided not to bid in the end as even though it would make my car more powerful, it would devalue it as my car is worth alot more as original as possible.£2012 in 2012 member #15: £651.55/£20120
