Credit Card Payment - no payment machine

Hi,

I want to make a payment for goods using a credit card but the seller doesn't have a card authorisation machine. Is there any way of making the payment without authorising with the machine.

Used to get cheques with the credit card, but not sure if these are still available.

No - what kind of goods are you buying?

Tell them to get something like iZettle or Payleven if they have a smart phone and some don't charge for paypal.

Cheques are still available for most CCs if you request them, but they'll be charged at 30%+ interest typically and treated as a cash transaction.

Unless he's willing to lose 3.5% or so going through a merchant such as Paypal, your pretty much screwed.

Credit card cheques are usually charged at the cash advance rate so there is virtually no difference between the cheque and an over the bank counter or ATM cash advance. So you might as well get the cash.
