    the problem is that self control is required. These type of cards are excellent if you want to make a big purchases and spread the cost over the interest free period (just did it on the barclays 15 months 0% one, bedroom refurb £2700) it is excellent because i can pay off bigger chunks now, and during xmas when things are a little bit tighter on the purse strings, i am able to pay just over the minimum payment to offset xmas, and then pay more after xmas.

    There is such thing as a free lunch, but it tends to be the credit card customers lack of self control that breaks this "free lunch" deal ...
