Bank Misfiled credit reporting to Experian etc.

I need some advice on wording for filing my small claim against a bank.
This is what happened:-
I had a 4 year loan which ended in December 2011 but I was 3 payments behind at this point due to being unemployed. I was contacted by the bank and asked to repay the remaining balance but was not able to do so, so the bank suggested that they transfer the balance over to my current account on a reducing overdraft which I agreed too but I added I would only be able to pay as and when I could due to my financial status and they agreed to my terms. The loan account was closed according to their records on 31 December 2011 so no further reporting was to be made.
As the months passed I was able to make payments and keep to my agreement with the bank to eventually clear the balance in July 2012. In June 2012 I remembered I applied for a Job within the banking sector but was not successful so I thought nothing of it until in July 2012 I applied for credit and was refused which was weird because I had a good record before. Anyway, I signed up for a Experian report only to find out that the bank had been filing missed payment reporting on my current account for Feb, Mar, Apr, May, Jun, Jul which led to Experian classing my current account as defaulted and my credit score plunging to 623 (POOR) rating.
I contacted the bank with loads of email correspondence and telephone calls back and forth over a 6 week period to get them to make right their wrongs and to advise Experian to change my 1 to 6 month rating back to zero as though it had never happened which they eventually did and now my credit rating is 968 (EXCELLENT).
The bank have admitted it was their error and have tried to fob me off with firstly a £30 offer and then £100 offer of compensation but this may have caused me not to get an interview as I applied for a job at the bank in question and according to my report they did a pre-employment check but I did not get offer for interview. I work in the finance industry.
So I need some help from someone who has a legal background or someone who may have gone through this themselves for some advice on the wording for my claim.
Thanks in advance.

I can't help much, but my first thought is you'd need to prove any damages?0

Credit checks for jobs in finance are usually done once an offer of employment has been made. It's possible it was nothing to do with your credit file. I'd check for sure first if i were you.0

You work in the finance sector and are daft enough to pay for Experian credit scores?0 -

So you was behind with payments anyway before the transfer took place so this would have been recorded with the CRAs.
As for the other data caused after the transfer you may have case to get the data amended possibly.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0
