Hi
For 16 days I haven't had landline (and hence broadband).
Every 2 or 3 days I have phoned TT, been put in a que for 10-20 mins, spoke to an indian with broken english, and been told it is BT Openreach's fault and that they say it will be fixed in 24 h. - it never is and they never get back in touch.
They have not once contacted me to update me, even tho I asked them to. They also always say there is no other person to speak to (ie a more senior person). Their standard answer is we are all equal. :rotfl:
So, my question to you tel/comms experts! :money:
How do I get them to hurry up?
How do I get a big discount and refund for my mobile calls?
Can I use this as grounds to cancel my contract? - that would be ideal
thanks

Hi. Your line is rented by talk-talk from bt, Openreach are the engineers who fix all faults on the lines. That goes for the same as every service provider apart from Cable/Virgin media.. Your line will be given a "non appointed" task, which means that the engineer will have a job to fix the line while noone needs to be in for this, but sometimes this can not be done as if the cables from your phone socket that go back to the exchange have both "broken" then the engineer will need to get in to prove up the "D-Side". best thing is to ring up talk-talk and demand a appointed fault. That way you have to be in and you know the engineer has to turn up to fix it.0 -
Posting on http://www.talktalkmembers.com/forums/ often gets things moving. As it will be picked up by their online team.0

Now fixed.
BT engineer said this was the first day he had been given the job, even tho it was dated from 2 weeks ago.
Talktalk are a waste of space - utterly imbecilic0 -
This was exactly why my family and I all paid up to end our contracts early with them (Was a total of 12 accounts!)
If you cant use your phone, you rake up a huge bill ringing them on a mobile as they never ring back as promised, if your internet is down (and/or you simply arn't aware of their forum) you can't get any UK based support.
I'd rather spend a ickle bit more and get reliable, english speaking customer service agents on the phone whom actually have a brain and a sence of common sence and decency than the ignorant and incompitent script readers they employ in nearly every non-english speaking country.0
