Nissan Service Plan Issue

I recently purchased a new Nissan car from the Nissan dealer network and at the time I negotiated a number of things including 3 years servicing included in the price. No paperwork specific to the service plan was ever shared with me but it was positioned with me as I wouldn't have to pay the service costs for the first three years.

I'm not sure if it matters but paid for the car in full with no finance taken out from Nissan (no PCP or HP etc).

I now have the car, all is well but I have asked for the paperwork related to the Service Plan that is supposed to be included in the purchase but after asking no less than four times by email and over the space of 3 months I am now getting no response to my requests from the dealer.

The good news is that on the sales invoice for the car it shows a line for 3 years servicing as included in the deal... (so I have proof) but I have no details as to scope/inclusions/exclusions...

Should I be fussy here and demand more detail? Should I tell them that I will use my own interpretation of what this means? (unlikely they will care!)? I would rather not just forget about it and when it is due a service hope all is covered.

Any advice appreciated.

  • Well, I would insist they supply the details of the servicing included in the purchase price. I seem to remember a similar deal only included an oil and filter change at the services, all other items that should have been done were not included in the deal!
    So get it in writing exactly what is included.

    They got back to me. The sales guy I was dealing with left the company and I spoke to his manager.
    No paperwork specifically, just that the service plan include all the activities listed in the handbook for servicing.:beer:
