Most people will thank for a helpful post. At least I hope so (that's what I do).

However, if you begin a new thread with "PM Me for details!" (screenshot), or request members to pm you to get one month's free broadband in an unrelated thread (like here), then perhaps you cannot expect people to be so grateful, can you?

Though I have to admit it's odd no one has thanked you here (at the time of writing this anyway!) - hopefully that will change as more people view it over the Easter weekend.

I've thanked you for editing this post as I'd requested (this is what was wrong with it).

To get more thanks, my advice is to be honest, post in the correct board, follow the forum rules, be patient & persevere. Wishing you many more thanks for the future , G

I am more concerned with contributing or helping someone than them saying thanks for me doing so! Of course it is always nice to see that you are appreciated, but I do not take offence or worry if I do not receive thanks - its not a competition after all !
