Citi PPI upheld - no cheque received

Could someone please let me know if they have experienced difficulties with receiving the refund cheque from Citi (or any of the other banks, as I have other claims that have just been upheld).

Today it has been 8 weeks since they received the initial complaint and day 28 since they have received my 'valid and signed acceptance form'. I was informed that I would receive the cheque within 10-15days of them receiving the form.

I have phoned them 4 times and on each occasion been given the standard "they will contact you in 5-7 days' and 'we have sent an email to the PPI department letting them know you have called' etc. I have also written them an email and sent a further complaint (to the initial address I sent the 1st complaint to) along with copies of the acceptance forms, printout of recorded delivery report etc. And still nothing. Even if I was to receive a letter saying 'we are serious behind on our work' I would be happy because at least I would know what was happening.

Is what I am experiencing common practice? and is there anything else I can do to jolly them along?

I'd suggest you post this over on the reclaiming PPI board. (or ask a board guide if they would move it for you)

There's lots of posts over there about reclaiming PPI and a nice article written by Martin and his team that you'll probably find the answer to your query in also.

This board is all about reclaiming bank and credit card charges.

Have they actually issued a final response? You said you signed an acceptance form, but is this for an offer they made you? if so, I expect as you think they are just bogged down.
