Going for a few days (three) away to Bath next week, and would like to visit the Thermae Spa Baths, Longleat and Cheddar Gorge Caving Experience. Can anyone suggest any other things to see in this area and / or any tips to reduce our costs?
Many thanks in advance

You've picked out the 3 big attractions in the area - Thermae Spa won't take a whole day unless you spend a lot of money on treatments, so you'll still have time to take in something else in Bath. The Roman Baths are nearby, which is the original use for the hot spring water. Plenty of shops around to nose at, or the Fashion Museum up at the Assembly Rooms. If the weather is kind then you can wander for free around a lot of the sites like the Royal Crescent, Circus, Abbey (they charge if you go inside but you can see the outside) and also the river views. Victoria Park is very pleasant for a walk and picnic if the weather holds.
If you are staying in Bath watch the parking costs - they are fierce if you don't have parking where you are staying. Also do not under any circumstances try to drive right through the centre between 10am and 6pm - there is a bus gate which is camera monitored and attracts a nasty fine (same if you try to drive over Pulteney Bridge but you are less likely to do that!).
Not been to Cheddar or Longleat for a while - I think at Cheddar you can get a ticket which covers all the bits like Jacobs ladder and all the seperate caves. Its a bit windy/slow to get there on the roads so allow plenty of time for the distance.
One other one to try, maybe on the way to or from, depending on where you are travelling from (and assuming coming by car as getting to Cheddar and Longleat will be hard by public transport!) is Westonbirt Arboretum - you might be a touch early in the year for the autumn colours on the trees which is spectacular when its in full flow.Adventure before Dementia!0
