Missed Call Unknown Number

...Unspeakable tension.

Will they ring back? Was it even a competition? Did I miss my chance? How long before they'll try again? I wonder which competition?... It probably wasn't one... Probably just a sales call... but what if it was? What if they never call back, and they've given my prize to someone else?

*sigh*

It was a blocked number, so it just shows up as unknown. Hence the tension!

I have one of those call this morning, not sure who it was. Will keep fingers crosses might be a win, probably not :think:

In that case its more than likely a sales or PPI call.
Normal legitimate company dont with hold their numbers.

I get calls from unknown numbers, too. But I never pick anymore. They're almost always nuisance callers anyway. Besides, I have my voice mail if the call's important. Apparently, the calls were not because the callers never left a message.

Oh, I forgot to mention. I got that "prize" call before. The caller told me I got picked in a drawing and I'd receive some cash. But I needed to pay the processing fee first. As much as it would be nice to become 1 million dollar richer, I read about this scam at Callercenter already so I knew he was bluffing. I turned down the deal and hung up.

Old post I know, but just thought I would add that I have had loads of calls from an unknown (as in the ones with no number just unknown) number over the last couple of days, accidently answered it and it was Barclays calling about football match tickets, so if you have entered any of those comps it might be them.

I once checked my phone in the supermarket and I had had 6 calls from an unknonw number over about 20 minutes... they never did call back!

Still think about that one from time to time- as an office worker I know tonnes of calls coming from offices come up as unknown so I wonder if I missed anything!
