PPI on overdraft?

Hi,
I have had an overdraft with Santander for over 9 years now and was wondering if I was eligible for a PPI refund for it.
As far as I'm concerned I dont remember signing an agreement regarding PPI however I had read elsewhere that banks will often just automatically sign you up for PPI without asking.
Can anyone provides step of how I can enquire to see if I am eligible for this or not, I have tried looking at the guide on this site but the information seems a little overwhelming.
Has anyone had any experience reclaiming PPI on overdrafts?
Thanks

However, if you have valid and verifiable reasons, you can indeed make a mis-selling complaint even on overdraft PPI.
Don't just say you can't remember signing up for it,though, because the Bank will certainly have documentary evidence to show that you did!0 -
you need to find out if you're actually paying PPI first. A phone call to santander should tell you, but it's not likely on an overdraft.
Or just check your staements, it should be visible there somewhere.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
Then, if you are paying for PPI, you need to decide if you have evidence it was mis-sold to you.
There is nothing wrong in having PPI; it was the mis-selling of PPI to some customers that was wrong.0 -
it's not likely on an overdraft.
Here's a link to a thread about precisely this:

So it's certainly possible.
If the OP has assumed he has PPI because he read that it was "automatically added" then I agree he'll very likely find he doesn't have it.
I assumed he was posting because he already knew he had it...0 -
Never assume......:)Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0
