Hello all! I am popping in to declare NSD number 3 Yay! I did have a little spend at a charity dance event I was at all day today but as I had set aside money from my bag of coins (as it was for charity after all) for the week then I'm not counting it! I also have £3 left in the bag that I haven't spent, WIIIN! I saved money on train fares this week too so I have a little left to rollover. Here's to next week, I'd better get some more change ready.... :rotfl:

I think your mum would be chuffed to bits with the iPad 2 kerri, after all she doesn't sound like a techo-geek who wants the latest of everything.. and you're giving her the best by having the close relationship you have with her, I think that's what every mother would want.

NSD #7 and 7-in-a-row for me yesterday mostly because I couldn't move my head for most of the day. Mopping the kitchen floor was an interesting experience :rotfl:Made the world go round (again)

Sometimes I curse the lack of emotion that can be conveyed in the written word. I hadn't thought about it before I had an unfortunate run-in with a close friend..I'd written a note & read it half a dozen times or so before sending it on, but my words had been interpreted in the polar opposite of my intention & caused a lot of upset til I was able to read it out loud, expressing the feelings the way I intended. It just hadn't occured to either of us, that the exact same squiggles on a page could infer such directly opposed emotion
I do so hope that folk--particularly on here--know that I do not set out to cause offence. I re-read my post to BDINI & suddenly thought it could come across as a bit..bolshy..That wasn't the look I was going for, so apologies if I've stuffed up again. Where's a wordsmith version of gok when you need wan :whistle:

kerri - you know your mother and what you will think about what you get her, if the gift is not used then that is her call, i think we would all dearly love for all of our gifts to be used and loved unfortunately just not so, but this does not diminish the thanks for it, due to thought and kindness on our behalf.

I am really struggling this month and I have a holiday to fund (which i would forgo under any circumstances but psychologically i need it)

now I am so near clearing my massive debt I am just finding the will to scrimp and save that much harder. then i get a bit depressed that I haven't included my car on that debt as I used my savings to buy it.
