Question.....
I have a dd that goes out to another bank account for food, otherwise my food bill can end up at *400* a month COUGH COUGH! yes just me...
anyway how many of you would count buying food on this account as a spend?
I am in two minds about it, want to set myself hard targets but be realistic. as technically not a spend as i have spent the money already, however it is spending money...IF YOU THINK YOU ARE SO CLEVER, THEN WHY ARE'NT YOU RICH?

citizenkitten - I count a NSD as a day where I don't spend anything, but then all my DDs come out on the same day
Posting this now, so I can't change my mindNSD 1 for me today please!

Hi there,
It is up to you whether you count this as a no spend. Some people do not count this as it is part of their budget, and some do. If you have a look at post number 4 on page 1 it explains that its up to you to set your own barriers.
I personally count food and petrol as a spend as I dont have a seperate account for them, however I do not count DDs as a spend as they have to be paid - end of!
I am declaring NSD#1 for me yesterday - good start to the month! Today wont be one though as I had to get petrol this morning - the joys of commuting0 -

As others have said it's up to you to set your own rules, but i would ask yourself if food spends is something you want to reduce? If it is then it may be helpful to count the days that you spend, if not you could exclude them.
I say this, because i always used to overspend on food based on the fact that i could always justify buying food more than clothes or other rubbish but since i started this challenge i have halved my grocery spend as i think about what i really need & don't give into cravings for foody treats & i no longer have a freezer stuffed full of whoopsied stuff i'll never get round to eating!!
Good luck with deciding!!February NSD challenge 5/150 -
Blast!!!!! Was doing so well yesterday and then OH decided at 9pm last night we had to go to Tesco's to do a food shop!!!
Normally do it on a Tuesday so was saving my Poundland shop for today too, but now it means I've shopped both days. Plus we're out for dinner tomorrow night so really not a good start to the month! Sooooo disappointed
I do budget myself every week so technically I'm not overspending, but I want my NSDs to be totally and utterly NO spending!!!!
Good luck to everyone else!I can see some of you have got off to a much better start than me!!

Still operating two homes so I'll not set a target if that's OK, but I do want to get as many as I can cuz it'll soon be C

For now, I am pleased to announce no1 was grabbed kicking & screaming from the jaws of a seeded batch, but I fear the call of the Sliced Multigrain is too strong to ignore for much longer.
