Can you still get Cashback for Switching to the SAME Energy supplier?

Finally got round to having a look at sorting energy bills out, and was wondering where anyone can shed some light on this?

I have found that my current supplier is cheaper with dual fuel on a different tariff and can get Cashback via the usual energy comparison websites.

My question is, can you still qualify for the cashback i.e. quidco/tcb/confused/uswitch if you switch from your current supplier to the same supplier but choose a different tariff?

Unfortunately not,
You can consider switching away to another provider that does cash back, with no penalty, then back once it's paid.
But of course, rises may make that not work,

If the comparison site allows you to switch via them, you will get the cashback.

But they don't usually allow this where you are an existing customer of that supplier.

The cashback specific sites tend to explicity deny you the option of using them, if you are a current or recent customer, within their terms and conditions.
