Buyer can get in trouble for not paying. Just pay as it is via paypal - if it lets you - then file a claim if its not sent. I dint even know you could not specify postage.

Also feedback is there for sellers who don't sell, and none permance reports, although you i doubt you can report if you have not paid.

    No sensible advice then?

I was hoping that some knowledgeable ebayers on MSE may be able to help.

Do ebay regard this item as sold?

Will ebay pursue their final selling fee, even though the buyer has been unable to pay?
Techspec gave you the right and sensible course of action to safeguard yourself against an npb action.
No sellers are not supposed to do this but you cannot force them to sell if for whatever reason they dont want to.
You pay via paypal as already said then if it doesnt arrive file an inr to get your funds back. Then report seller as an NPS and leave appropriate fb..

Well espresso, aren't you just the charmer. Hopefully the item you purchased was a course in manners.

Alykatz I looked at this thread and was going to offer advice, however after reading through it I am also out for the same reasons.

In an answer yes eBay will.
  • it does not matter that the seller has not added P+P to an invoice you should still be able to pay by paypal, for example if a seller says they will only accept cash on collection they cannot stop you from using paypal as ebay state you (as a seller) must accept it.
If the paypal payment wont go through because it is unclaimed then you can report them to ebay for having incorrect details and not accepting paypal.

Agree totally but if not paid it does open up the buyer to a possible NPB strike.
And there has been problems recently with buyers not being able to pay through paypal, a glitch of some sort,Soolin had a problem with it a few weeks back and one of my customers hit the same problem.

Thank you. You are the first to post anything useful.

I am not a regular ebayer myself and have not posted on this board before. I'm simply trying to help someone who has now hit a brick wall with the seller of this item. There may well be a genuine reason why the seller is not now responding to e-mails (illness, death etc) but they do stand to lose a substantial amount of money if they do not complete the sale as they should. The item is large, delicate and valuable, so it seemed reasonable when they said that they were taking their time to ensure correct packing and shipping but now nothing.

Some of the regulars on this board obviously have problems with [STRIKE]comprehension and are incapable of simply answering questions or offering any
    relevant advice[/STRIKE] rude posters.

Corrected your post for you. You're welcome.
