Yes some of them do or at least take a description of the door, but as indicated it does not prove anything

I wouldn't do business with an insurer that requires a black box. IMHO the boxes are everything to do with the insurers' priorities and nothing to do with the customers'.

If insurers want an incident record, provide us with car-cams - no more expensive than black boxes whose contents the paying customer hasn't a clue about.

Getting to the point where we'll all be bar-coded and chipped at birth!
