Amazon product withdrawn after purchase

Too good to be true....
I needed a flipchart easel for my business, and used the links on this site to special deals. I found one for just £17; where a typical price for the model concerned would be well over £100.
I placed my order this morning; and an hour later received an order from Amazon stating that the supplier says 'product out of stock'.
Unfortunately for them, they provided a link to the item so that I could check for availability in future. I tried it straight away and surprise, surprise, there is my item, in stock, at about ten times the original price.
I queried this with Amazon, but they didn't want to know; telling me to contact the seller directly.
Rant over. Told you it was too good to be true. I thought at one time there was an obligation to supply at the price shown...

No, that has never been the case in this country.
It would be absurd to make people honour genuine misprices as this clearly was. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -

No sorry, the contract doesn't exist until the goods are dispatched.0 -
Just wondered if you had seen the Magic Flip Chart pads, the paper sticks to most surfaces, no need for an easel. It was on Dragons Den sometime time ago. Here is the link to Rymans where you can buy it but pretty sure you could find it cheaper elswhere0
