That stauts code shows recent missed or late payments so a 90% mortgage deffo wont be approved. No fluffy messages from me to get your hopes up I'm afraid.

Not sure you can be that sure, with so many unknown variables.

    We will see!

  • Hi Dave

Sorry to hijack this thread but I would like to ask you a question. I have 14k of CC debt which I pay monthly and well above the min payment. I have really good credit history with no defaults or anything in the last 6 years (some before that). We have a mortgage already but are looking to take a larger mortgage out next year. We have apx 18% deposit to put down.

My question is, with it being a larger mortgage, will they say no based on my credit already? I earn 34k and over 14k I pay apx 700 to debt a month to get it cleared but they only ask for 250.

    Many Thanks.
    Debt - CCV £3792
CCB £1383 (took a hit for a holiday)

    Loan 1 £1787
    Loan 2 £1683
    Total £8601 Was £39302

    Hi,

Been a while since my last post.
We applied for a mortgage last year in August and even put in an offer on a house that got accepted unfortunately we didn't get the mortgage which i later found out was due to late payments on a credit card.
The credit card was paid off and closed so i thought around October 2009, i was told my the call centre that there was no more payments to make on the account and it was closed. What he didn't explain was the interest payments still to come. For the next three months i stupidly threw the letters in the bin(i know silly thing to do). it wasn't until the 4th month i opened one called them up and paid the amount which then showed a 1 2 and a 3 on my report. somehow and i cannot remember why the same thing happened, ending in a 1 & 2.
What do you think my chances are of getting any of these removed and when will these disappear from my report? looks like no mortgage as we only have 10% at present still.

    Chris

Sorry for hijacjking with my question - I hope it worked out for you - we can but try.

Might be worth starting a separate thread, as can give more specific information.

Will obviously depend upon amount you want to borrow and other details. Sounds like it should be ok though, but some lenders will have an issue with the debt so lender selection will be crucial.

    All the best

  • Thank you - I will start a new thread nearer the time. Hoping to stay with current lender (Halifax) as they have been fantastic. Thanks for taking the time and good luck to the op.

Last late payment on the card was September 2010. Then it was closed in full in November. Will be in touch later Dave, at work now.
    Thanks for your pm also.
