How to make it all work!?

  • Thanks Linda32 for your realistic & common sense reply. I can really relate to it! I would like my food spends to be lower & sometimes I do get a bit down about it but on other days I just think life is too short & there are other things that have to / or I want to fit in aswell. I do cook a lot of meals from scratch - chillis, spag bols, shepherds pie, roasts etc but on a Friday night after a week at work a jar of pasta sauce suits me just fine as does a curry sauce on a Saturday night, particularly in the summer when we don't get in from cricket until about 9pm. I know its not the cheapest or the most healthiest but its better than a takeaway & surely its not that bad with fresh meat & veg added to them? Likewise one of my stepsons doesn't like my home made spag bol & prefers his Dolmio sauce & its just not making a fuss over when criticising your OH's kids can be a really sensitive issue so I just accept it and cook his the way he likes it whilst the rest of us eat the homemade one.
