Shelter Logic Greenhouse/Polytunnel

Options
Has anyone any experience of a Shelter Logic Greenhouse/Polytunnel. They are imported from USA and are tent shaped rather than hooped. They look quite sturdy and are much cheaper than the tunnels normally sold in the UK.

Where would you buy one? According to my limited research, they were only sold by Trago Mills, and that in itself doesn't inspire confidence!

If they are much cheaper than British polytunnels, one has to wonder why the supply is so limited when we live in a free market economy. ;)

Could it be that they are just not up to doing the same job?

Yes Trago Mills are the sole importers in the UK but they have a huge garden centre at Newton Abbot in Devon. It has been beautifully landscaped and now rivals any garden centre I have seen. They have certainly come up market and now stock most of the leading brands. I asked the question as I believe personal experience of a product is the best recommendation and this was one way to contact anyone who had purchased one.

Sorry, I was basing my comment on the first 50 years or so of Trago's existence. I'm a Devon resident. If they've come up a bit, it wouldn't be before time, but I'll certainly have a look next time I pass. :)

As to the Shelter Logic Polytunnel alternative, an American web site had this to say:

"A great greenhouse for someone who doesn't really think they will be a long term greenhouser. In most part because it will usually last two or three season. The quality is somewhere between throwing a plastic tarp over a tent frame to a basic hobby greenhouse."
